ABOUT US...
My name is Traci and I am the one
you are talking to most of the time
when you contact us. I am former
Professional Groomer and Vet
Tech. I enjoy gardening,
needlework, reading, cooking and
swimming. Huge music fan and
rarely without my iPod. I also work
with polymer clay. Recently I have
discovered the joys of 4- wheeling
as well. I am married to Jerry and
have 2 grown daughters.
This is Jerry, my husband. Jerry is a
volunteer rescue/fire guy in our
community. He is a wizard at building
anything I ask for and the best
problem solver I know. Jerry was
diagnosed with Glioblastoma
Multiforme stage IV (brain cancer) in
January of 2006 and given 12 months
to live. His last scan (Feb '10) showed
no cancer. It is an ongoing battle and a
very uncertain one but he does it with
determination and without self pity. I
love you, keep on fighting. Thank you
to everyone who inquires and cares. I
appreciate it. He is pictured here with
me and my sister.
My oldest daughter, 22 now.
She helps a lot with all areas of
the dogs. She is a funny and
sensitive young lady. Cute as a
button too.
My youngest daughter, 17
now. She also helps with dogs
and she is always loving on the
pups. Attends college in
Minnesota. Very witty and
kind. She too is as cute as a
button.
My home...
My pond in my backyard. This is
where I spend all my free time in
Spring, Summer and Fall. Yes,
Jerry built it. It is home to massive
Bullfrogs (fitting huh?) that
serenade at night, toads, who
compete with the frogs and it
attracts a huge number of birds,
which we encourage and feed year
round. I counted 23
Hummingbirds last year before I
got confused.
We make our home in the rolling hills of
eastern Iowa. We love this area, the hills, the
woods, the fauna and flora. We have rose
gardens, huge vegetable gardens, fruit
gardens and fruit trees and plan to make
even more. This is peaceful and beautiful
country side and we are proud of it. Try to
spot the corn in any of these photos! It ain't
all corn people!
